Y'all if you ain't from here, Allen's has been around since the 90's if not longer. If you're want to support a local grocery store this is the one! They bag up your goods for you and for the ladies they will even carry them to your car. They did that for Emily and she was so please. It's not like she's incapable, it was just nice to see that top-tier service that we're not used to anymore. Especially when you got kids running around too." Do unto others..." baby! Just today we we were leaving a the nice older lady said to the bag-boy "I haven't seen you here in a while" and they were talking as he took the bags out to her car. That's good service and you won't find that anywhere around here, but Allens.

Awesome Healthy Food

If Akins is too far a drive for you, then Allens is very similar. They have a very wide range of clean, nutritious cereals, chocolates, candies, breakfast foods, flours, chips, ice cream and more. We were looking for a chocolate that was soy-free, which is actually really hard to find and they had multiple options! Then we landed on the one with the least sugar, but we're talking about just chocolate. Their assortment is very good. When you walk in, go immediately to the left and on the other side of the check-outs is the organic, healthy section. There are some great brands we rarely find elsewhere.

They also have the largest selection of Ollie Pop in the Bentonville -Rogers -Bella Vista area.

Organic Produce

They do have some but this is an area they could work on. It's not super clear where to find it and you have to sort through the other junk sometimes, but it is there. It seems like they're adding more in this area. Every time we go back we see more.

Frozen Section

They have great organic and gluten-free frozen baked goods and quick meal options you should check out. Most of it is on the right when you first walk in and some of it is in the back of the store too.

If you need a good ice cream replacement check out Alden's. They have multiple flavors, but I get the vanilla, because It's low in sugar and dant-have-nunna-dat high fructose corn syrup! Adding some maple syrup (doesn't spike your blood sugar) and cinnamon or homemade strawberry jelly is on point!

The Middle of the Store

This is certainly the part of the store you want to avoid most of, but they have some good options sprinkled in with the bad. For example amongst the horrible baking chocolates like Hersey and Nestle we found the Equal Exchange Organic Cocoa that I use in my ballin Hot Chocolate. It makes you feel so good to see stuff like that amidst the muck of bad stuff. A little light shines around it and the choir in the back starts sining harmonies. Ha!

Allen's is an awesome option and we want to support them because they are local-owned, courteous and offer fantastic healthy options for most everything. It just feels so good to shop at Allens.
